OWM at the Garden located in Richlands
Our program at the Garden offers a half-day program for children ages 2-4. Like the classrooms at our main campus, the Garden classroom is rooted in the Montessori philosophy and aims to help children grow in independence, self-discipline, social and emotional awareness, and physical development of the body. Areas of the classroom include practical life, language, math, sensorial, manipulatives as well as gross motor skills and creative lessons.
Our outdoor space also plays a central role in our students’ education. The outdoors does not limit movement in the way that indoor classrooms do. It gives children the opportunity to run and jump without walls, chairs, or desks. It also allows us to tap into some of Montessori’s most important lessons in biology, zoology, and botany.
